when I first saw the design of this boat I thought the chine would be too weak of a design but now that I see it come together looks as though it going go be fine! Looks like it will be nice and strong by the time its all fitted together.

I don't know why it is , when ever we see someone else make a mistake we laugh. yet at the same time we all know its sucks as well. And slows down the project, nevertheless it how the ball rolls at times. We all do it. Its cool to see how the racoons have warmed up to ya.

I personally would not use flex seal I'd used sikaflex first if I were you. Its has much better adhesion capability . Love your storyboard demo for illustration on the composite haul helps explains things perfectly great idea clearly shows all the prep to come up with finished haul of the boat,

thank you for sharing your project. One may not believe but my father taught my brother and me how to build a boat in a very roundabout way. he was a hull tech in the Navy. I see you may have been a sheriff, well thank you for your service. I was in the army and I was in law enforcement doing classification.

I am interested in building a gothic arch shed. Any idea of where I could find plans to build one? Thank you !!

This form of hull planking is termed “Deadrise” it is neither Maryland nor Virginia, it’s been used in the Chesapeake Bay for centuries by most DelMarVa watermen….

In your intro, you mention “crossing oceans”, I would highly recommend starting out crossing rivers, then work your way up to crossing bays either the Delaware or Chesapeake. After that and only after that have your vessel inspected by Lloyd’s or comparable. The alternative is you’ll be swallowed up by the Atlantic and they’ll write another sad song about your demise, sorry but I’ve spent my whole life on the water and have seen this scenario play out a hundred times, Cheers

Damn, another job I didn't know I would love to do. Why does it take so long in life to find things that make us tick hard. I mean I love woodwork etc, but never thought of building boats other than the 14 boat we overhauled for my dad when I was like 15.

I think that when you start a utubechannel and get up to over 40.000 subscribers and episodes get thousands of views; you have an moral obligation to let your audience know when you stop uploading content. Ofcourse it is possible that, due to circumstances, uploading became impossible wich would be a very sad thing. Greatings from the netherlands. I hope one day this boat will sail.

Oak dowels are commonly used in the construction of wooden boats and ships...they are called waterstops

I'd like to do something similar, when I have the money. But for sure I am going to do in in Metric.
